Completely changed!

I was watching a movie one night. In that movie there was a guy whose plane had been shot down during the war. He had been captured and he had to spent couple of years in a prison camp. After  the war he returned home and told to his fiancée that he is not the same guy anymore. Because of all tragedy he had to go through in that camp – he was now completely another person.

In the movie that so sad and a great tragedy but Lord begun to talk to me about the complete change in Him – a change which gives us LIFE! Jesus went through all the tragedy on behalf of us so that we would be changed!  He went to the cross and was raised to heaven on the third day – Because of His sacrifice for us, everything changed!  It was the greatest action of LOVE that anyone could do for someone else. An action that did not demand anything – just gave everything! Because of that action all sin was removed from us to Him who carried it to the cross.  Eph. 2:4 says:  ^“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.“

That action changed us completely as who we are! Paul says in 2 Cor.17: ”Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” Because of His love we are now a NEW creation in Him! We came from darkness to the light, from captivity to the freedom, from death into the everlasting life, from law under the grace and from rejection under the adoption! Jesus went trough all that tragedy – pain, shame and rejection – so that we would have an abundant life in Him.

Well… if you are a Christian, you already know all this – my question is – do you REALLY, REALLY understand who you are in Him? What is your POSITION in Him and how much you have CHANGED? I thought I understood it …but now I think that I have just started to get more and more revelation of it and I am so excited! 🙂

So I am CHANGED! What does it mean…? CHANGED means that I am not the same kind I used to be. And when thinking of all this I suddenly felt Lord telling me to think about the butterfly! And especially what happens before butterfly or actually caterpillar becomes a butterfly.

 

Here is one picture about a caterpillar. Have a long look at it. Before caterpillar becomes a butterfly, it goes through a full metamorphose from caterpillar to butterfly! During that metamorphose all its qualities and features will be almost 100 % changed! Isn’t that amazing?!

Now look at this other picture of a butterfly. As you can see the butterfly looks completely different than a caterpillar. And it IS different! It has now physical features it did not have before. It looks different and it moves in a completely different way. It can now FLY and conquer new areas higher and larger than it was ever capable of doing when it was a caterpillar. Its life has CHANGED completely!

Now…I ask you to think about one very IMPORTANT question: What if the butterfly did not UNDERSTAND that it has been completely changed… that all its qualities and features are now completely different?? That it owns now features it was probably never even capable to dream about when it was a caterpillar? WHAT IF it did not understand it and would still be functioning like a caterpillar…. And not like a butterfly? F.ex. It would move slowly without knowing that it can FLY!!! How sad that would be!

And I actually think that it is a picture of many of us as Christians. We might still be functioning as a caterpillar and not as a butterfly at least in some areas in our life. And I’m talking to me too 😉 It is just so important to understand that when we accept Jesus as our Lord and our Savior – we go through a spiritual metamorphose. After that we are completely renewed and changed in Him! Everything in us has been changed! We are a new creation in Him, we are carrying the same DNA as Jesus – we are now His sons and daughters! We are not lost any more but found! We are highly favored and loved! We are not under the law anymore but under the grace! Our qualities are completely changed because now Christ dwells in us! And we move in Spirit and the truth! YAY! Isn’t that wonderful!!

Because of GRACE, you are a new creation in Christ! Your call is just to BE who you are! And remember – you are not a caterpillar anymore! 😉 So rejoice, be BOLD and spread your wings and start to fly! And fly higher and wider you have ever done before…. All God’s blessings and adventures are waiting for you! 🙂
